There are two types of Peppermint oil that have that instantly recognisable scent of mint, Peppermint Arvensis and Peppermint Piperita. Arvensis, also known as mentha arvensis, corn mint or wild mint, has a much higher menthol content than Piperita. Dilute at a percentage of 1% of the finished blend, 1ml of essential oil (approx. 20 drops) to 100ml of carrier oil. Do not use undiluted on the skin. You can use up to 3% dilution for use on your body or in the bath.
